Teens Like Me (TLM), is a nonprofit charitable organization,
501(c)3 status, whose objective is to educate, empower and inspire teens to become actively engaged in community service. Reaching teens through a service-learning program, we are dedicated in celebrating today's youth and believe in their ability to take action to get things done.
TLM's service-learning program: teens, ages 15 to 19, gain valuable work experiences, through PAID summer internships, at charitable organizations, throughout the Atlanta area. (St. Louis, MO. coming soon!)
Service learning, strengthens communities, improves academic engagement, and prepares young people for a lifetime of responsible citizenship.
The funds paid act as reimbursement for transportation, meals, and other reasonable out‐of‐pocket expenses directly related to the TLM participation.
Teens will have an opportunity to:
Receive a TLM Workforce Soft Skills Certificate - a recognition of skills in punctuality, sense of independence, work ethics, appropriate business attire, and the ability to work as a team.
Gain marketable skills through a Career Exploration Internship
Teens select organizations on the career path they wish to pursue for their internship location.
Receive The President's Volunteer Service Award
Be empowered to take ownership of the value and direction of
their lives, through the impact of a TLM mentorship.
Achieve professional networking opportunities.
Join an elite group of teens, by becoming a member of the
Teens100 of Atlanta, whose primary mission is to serve as role models for other teens in their community and school.
Teens Like Me, a competitive and prestigious program, is designed to enhance the social consciousness of today’s teens. The TLM organization strive to instill in all participating youths, the ability and drive to make a meaningful difference in their communities, together, with other teens like them.
